Edward Gaydos

Edward Gaydos age 81 of Shelton and formerly of Bridgeport entered into rest on Thursday Aug. 12, 2010 in the Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of the late Beverly Taylor Gaydos. 
Mr. Gaydos was born in Emeigh, PA son of the late Michael and Susanna Seres Gaydos and was a Bridgeport resident for most of his life before moving to Shelton 11 years ago.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country in WW II and the Korean Conflict. Ed was an avid sports fan who was almost drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals but instead served his country in WWII. He was employed by Harvey Hubble and retired from Bridgeport Machines were he was employed in the shipping and purchasing departments. 
He is the beloved father of Keith Gaydos and his wife Holly, and Cindy Savoie and her husband Gerald. He is the loving grandfather of Janine, and Leigh Savoie, Lucille Berte, and Edward Gaydos. He is predeceased by his sister Wilma Kulikowski. He also leaves his brother-in-law Edward Kulikowski, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet his family on Monday from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Tuesday a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Hare pastor of the Huntington United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery Bridgeport.
