Mr. Edward J. Wojciechowski, 84, of 10 Clark St., died Monday at Yale New Haven Hospital.
He was the husband of Elizabeth Aleskewich Wojciechowski.
Born in Ansonia on Feb. 7, 1925, son of the late Stanley and Julia Rafalowski Wojciechowski. A life long resident of Ansonia, graduate of St. Joseph grammar school and the Ansonia High School, he served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Edward was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and Falcons clubs, as well as the Joseph A. Doyle senior center. He coached the Pioneers Little League Baseball team for many years.
Survivors besides his wife are sons Edward and his wife Lisa of Pompano Beach, Fla.; David and his wife Nancy and two grandchildren Jacklyn and David.
Edward was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Gregory and Lottie Cerniglia, and three brothers, Stanley, Benjamin and Thaddes.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Bennett Funeral Home at 91 North Cliff St., to the church of the Assumption for a mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
Full military honors will follow.
Calling hours Wednesday are from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Assumption Church in care of the funeral home.
