Edward Novitski Jr. “Fast Eddie”, 40, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 29, 2010, at the Griffin Hospital.
Eddie was born in Bridgeport on Jan. 1, 1970, beloved son of Edward Novitski Sr. of Ansonia and the late JoAnne Condello Novitski, whom he held extremely dear to his heart. He was a 1989 graduate of Ansonia High School and was a loyal employee of the former Healy Ford in Ansonia, where he served as lot manager for nine years. He lived his life with great integrity and pride and was very self sufficient in many ways. Eddie touched the lives of all whom he came in contact with his contagious smile and heart-warming hugs. Eddie loved the New York Mets and was an avid bowler, being a member of the Sunday Morning Recreation League at Nutmeg Lanes in Fairfield.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two brothers, Anthony J. Novitski and his wife Kristy of Seymour and Douglas A. Novitski of Ansonia, his aunt, JoAnne Ullrich and her husband Thomas of Shelton, his uncle, Charles F. Novitski and his wife Madelyn of Jonesborough, TN, grandmother, Sylvia Mastriano of Bridgeport, grandmother, Anne Haddad of Stratford, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends throughout the Valley area. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan Novitski Frager.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Eddie’s life on Saturday January 8, 2011, at 10:00 am at Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff Street in Ansonia. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
