Edward R. Gordino also known as Sonny or simply G, an 85 year old resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest Sunday March 26, 2017.
He was born Aug. 22, 1931 in New Haven.
He is the son of the late August Pedro & Jennie Deorio Pedro. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Gordino and sister Carmela Jackson. He was cared for and taken care of by his dear friend Roenia Bailey.
Living in Ansonia Edward built a family and network of friends that will miss him dearly. He worked at Lifetouch Studios and was a parishioner of The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
He is survived by many family members and children (born and adopted) 2 sisters; Eleanor Corea & Clara London. 8 sons; Alonzo, Tracy, Dana, & Darnell Gordino; Kierron Stanley Sr, Hector, Rasheem, Akeem Gonzalez. 3 daughters; Pat Tavares, Mercedes Gonzalez, & Shaquanna Hamilton. Grandchildren Jazmine Patton,Cherie Gordino, Nyle Watt, Richard Carter, Tychelle Gordino, Brandon Brown, Sharmaine Pearson, Tia Gordino, Zaniylah, Zakiyah, Zionnah Gonzalez, Ziyere James, Rayquan Hamilton, Zymir Zimmerman, Amiyah Freeman,Toy & Tara Tavares, Kanijah, Kyjher & Kierron Stanley Jr. Great grandchildren Jordyn & Taylor Watt, Jama’ri Keeton, Marquise Cannon, Same’J Carmon, Tahirah Hines, & Lyric Gordino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 1 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will be private.
