Edward Sabatini, age 82, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on April 25, 2021 at his home in Ansonia. He was the beloved husband of Eunice Bunnell Sabatini.
Edward was born in Derby on November 16, 1938, son of the late Columbus and Ruth Wright Sabatini. He was employed as the Assistant Store Manager of Stop and Shop in Derby and then later in Ansonia until his retirement. Ed was happiest surrounded by his loving family. He liked spending time tending to his backyard “corner garden”, playing his favorite casino games, and woodworking in his shed. Ed and his wife Eunice enjoyed spending time together each afternoon on their back porch. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
In addition to his wife Eunice, Ed leaves to cherish his memory, loving daughters, Lisa Bomba (Edward) of Seymour, and Linda Tomasella (John) of Ansonia, a brother, Calvin Sabatini of Florida, sisters, Bonnie Lou Carter of Texas and Ruth Perlaman of NC, grandchildren, Stephanie Morisseau (Phillip Roper) of Bluffton, SC, Samantha Morisseau, Emily Tomasella (Jesse Altieri), Lexy Tomasella, and Cloe Tomasella all of Ansonia, great grandchildren, Lea Almazan, Eva Almazan and J.J. Altieri, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Robert Morisseau, brothers, Frank Sabatini and Ronald Sabatini, and sisters, Jean Figerle and Nancy Sue Morgan.
