Edward “Ted” Malloy

Edward Ted” Malloy, loving husband of Susan Lane Malloy and father of Edward K. Teddy” Malloy, a resident of Derby, entered into eternal rest Dec. 12 at Mass General Hospital in Boston with his loving family by his side. 

He was born on June 20th 1961 in Derby CT, son of the late Edward W. & Rosemary Dormer Malloy. Ted was a general trade’s worker for the State of CT

He will be remembered for always lending a helping hand to others, especially when things needed fixing. He loved to work in the yard and on cars, fix anything that was broken and watch a Green Bay Packers game with his son Teddy. 

In addition to his wife and son, he leaves his brother James Malloy & wife Gerri of Ansonia, his niece Caitlin Malloy of Ansonia, brothers-in-law William Lane of Ansonia and Stephen Lane of N.M., his father-in-law Joseph Lane & mother-in-law Charline Lane, both of Ansonia, aunt Lois Dormer of N.J. and a host of cousins and friends. 

He was predeceased by brothers Kieran & John Jack” Malloy. 

Friends may call on Monday, Dec. 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (DIRECTLY) at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Sue and Teddy would like to thank Natalia Neparidze MD., Kathleen Bober-Sorcinelli MD., and the nurses on the 7th floor of hematology at Smilow, especially Rachel & Jennifer, for the loving and professional care they gave to Ted.
