Elaine Aardewerk, wife of Marcel Aardewerk entered into eternal rest at home on May 6, 2023. She was born Sept. 13, 1943 in Derby, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Giles Goodson. She graduated from Ansonia High School, Class of 1961. Elaine worked as a Computer Specialist for S.N.E.T. where she was also a member of The S.N.E.T. Union and S.N.E.T. Pioneers Club.
She leaves two sisters Laverne Goodson Stonick (Edward) of Williamsburg, Virginia and Alicia Goodson Russell of Greenville, S.C. and a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Shirley Bailey Miller. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
