Elaine C. Reyher, age 90, wife of the late Warren Reyher and resident of Shelton, entered into eternal rest at home on May 14. She was born August 12, 1923 in Milford, daughter of the late Bernard & Katherine Dougherty Kelly.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Shelton and was a member of the Rosary Society at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Catherine Reyher, her son Mark Reyher and her sister Patricia Kelly.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Cynthia Filek of Shelton, with whom she resided, her sons Stephen Reyher & wife Deborah of Ansonia, Timothy Reyher & wife Maryanne of Durham & Matthew Reyher & wife Valerie of Southbury, her brother Bernard Kelly & wife Jean of Fairfield, sister Cathline Navin of Southbury, 11 Grandchildren, Michael Hicks of Pueblo, Colorado, Melissa Filek of Seymour, Lauren Guadino of Durham, Stephen Reyher of Seymour, Jessica Paquette of Monroe, Megan & Timothy Reyher, both of Durham, Philip Leitner of Jacksonville, FL., Amanda Reyher of Seymour, Ashley Catropa of Monroe and Loriann Reyher of Ansonia, daughter in law Christine Reyher of Derby, 3 step children Allison Lia, Eric Carey & Scott Aconfora and 9 great grandchildren, Kati Sears of Seymour, Dominic Guadino of Durham, Stephen Reyher of Seymour, Dimitri Guadino of Durham, Madelyn Leitner of Jasksonville, FL., Lily Reyher of Seymour, Austin Paquette of Monroe, Parker Leitner of Jacksonville, FL., and Andrianna Guadino of Durham.
Friends may call on Friday, May 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church in Shelton, and will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Church in Shelton through the funeral home.
