Elaine J. Michols, age 67, of Derby, entered into rest on Tuesday November 25, 2014 in her home.
Elaine was born in Bridgeport on November 12, 1947, daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Raymond) Swanson, and was a Derby resident for over 15 years, previously living in Bridgeport.
She was a Harding High School Graduate Class of 1965 and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was employed for many years as an office manager for the City of Bridgeport School System.
Elaine is the beloved mother of Christopher and David Michols, ex-wife of John Michols, and sister of Richard Swanson, Robert Swanson, Charlene Kurt, and the late Thomas Swanson. She is the loving grandmother of Cheyenne and Lydia, and also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet her family on Monday from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Tuesday a funeral service will be celebrated at 11AM with the Rev. Lucille Fritz of the Huntington Congregational Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
