Eleanor K. Dabkowski, age 85, entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2022 at The Summit at Plantsville. She was the beloved wife of the late Marian Dabkowski.
Eleanor was born in Lepoldowo, Poland on November 9, 1936, daughter of the late Jan and Anna Buczynski Korytkowski. She immigrated to the United States from Poland on September 10, 1962 and made her home in Ansonia. Eleanor was employed for seventeen years as a machine operator for Schick Razor in Milford before retiring in 2006. She previously worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, taking walks and trips to McDonalds. Eleanor was happiest when spending time with her family, especially for parties and barbeques.
Eleanor leaves to cherish her memory, a son, James Dabkowski (Grazyna) of Ansonia, daughters, Irene Fazio (Richard Sr.) of Southington and Barbara Hartigan (Jay) of Jupiter, FL, a sister, Irene Szczesna of Warsaw, Poland, grandchildren, Richard Fazio Jr. (Roxanne) of Torrington, Victoria Fazio of Southington, Mitchell Hartigan and Scott Hartigan both of Jupiter FL, and Caroline Dabkowski of Ansonia, a great-granddaughter, Angelina Fazio, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Witek and Czeslaw Korytkowski.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:30 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62, Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, March 4, 2022, her funeral will begin at 9:45 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett in Ansonia.
