Eleanor Rivers, age 85 of Ansonia, entered into rest on Monday November 9, 2015 in her home.
She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Rivers, Sr.
Mrs. Rivers was born in Derby on March 28, 1930, daughter of the late Louis and Dora (Pompa) Biasucci, and has been an Ansonia resident for most of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was a seamstress and enjoyed making Christmas ornaments.
She is the beloved mother of Thomas Rivers, Jr., and Steven Rivers, sister of Doris Ragusa and aunt of several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Marion Ferraro.
Friends may greet her family on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 PM. On Thursday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary Church Derby. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Derby.
