Elizabeth (Betty) M. “Dolly” Mica, age 82, a lifelong resident of Shelton peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday July 2, 2021 at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
She was the beloved wife of 62 years to Robert Mica, Sr. She was born in Derby on October 3, 1938 the daughter of the late John and Theresa (Dorso) Salemme. Dolly was a longtime homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren.
Her family was her whole life and she really enjoyed getting everyone together for large family dinners on Sundays. Besides her husband Robert, Dolly is survived by her daughter Lisa DeZolt, her sons Robert Mica Jr. (Debbie) and Anthony Mica (Jen), her 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, neighbors and close friends. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends are invited to greet Dolly’s family on Tuesday July 6 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton.
At the request of the family, masks will be required while inside the funeral home. On Wednesday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton, for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
