Elizabeth L. Sultzbach

Elizabeth L. Sultzbach, 80, entered into eternal rest on June 1, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles P. Sultzbach.

Mrs. Sultzbach was born in Keene, NH on Sept. 4, 1934, daughter of the late Anthony and Exilda Gravel Patterson. She was a resident of Bridgeport until moving to Ansonia in 1962. Elizabeth was employed as a file clerk in the Radiology Dept. at Griffin Hospital for 22 years until her retirement in 1989. 

She is survived by sons, Robert W. Sultzbach of Derby, Peter J. Sultzbach of Milford and Charles A. Sultzbach of Bethany, a daughter, Paulette Haines of Seymour, sisters, Jeanette Angel of Brookfield and Pauline Mingolello of FL, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son in law, William E. Haines. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to Elizabeth’s caregivers, Donna Krupa, Tanya Crosby, Dawn Linsley and Susan Carroll, for their tireless efforts and unconditional love.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday June 4, 2015, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, her funeral will be held at 8:45 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Entombment will take place in Mt. St. Peter Mausoleum in Derby.
