Elizabeth Pitingoro

Elizabeth Betty” Pitingoro, 91, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 19, 2013, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph S. Pitingoro.

Mrs. Pitingoro was born in Larksville, PA on March 14, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Carey Wargo. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Betty was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casino, and cooking Sunday dinner for her family.

In addition to her husband Joe, she is survived by a loving daughter, Diana Musante of Shelton, cherished grandchildren, Christina Guman of Bethany, Michelle Coppola (John) of Orange, and Nicholas Musante (Christine) of Seymour, great-grandsons, Jacob Guman and Anthony Coppola, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, George and Joseph Wargo and sisters, Anne Gorko, Victoria Stush and Mary Luce.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday July 23, 2013, at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Visiting will take place prior to Mass from 8:30 am until the procession leaves for church at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
