Ena E. (Bubar) Hilton, age 100 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Edward L. Hilton, entered into peaceful rest on Friday, November 3, 2023 at The Willows in Woodbridge. Born in St. Albans, Maine, on June 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Corey and F. Emma (Fletcher) Bubar.
Ena enjoyed cooking and baking, and she was proud to have shared her abilities for many years as a waitress and cook. Many wonderful memories were made while camping at Lone Oak Campground with her grandchildren. She was feisty, funny and loving.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Ellen Penchuk and her husband Alexander of Seymour; 3 cherished grandchildren, Evan Penchuk (Jill Kryvonis), Larisa Coy and Jared Penchuk; 2 adored great grandsons, Andrew and Dayne Coy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11am in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. Relatives and friends may call Thursday morning from 9am until the time of services. Interment will follow in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ena’s name can be made to the Seymour Lions Club, 26 George St. Seymour, CT 06483.
