Enes “Inez” E. Gentile

Enes Inez” E. Gentile, 87, of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Nicholas A. Gentile Sr., entered into peaceful rest on October 22, 2010, at the Bridgeport Hospital. 

Mrs. Gentile was born in Ansonia on October 1, 1923, daughter of the late Luigi and Philomena Zampa Facchini. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed as the Judge’s secretary at the Derby-Milford Court for 25 years. Inez was a member of the Ansonia and Derby Senior Centers and enjoyed painting. 

She is survived by two sons, John L. Gentile and his wife, State of Connecticut Representative, Linda M. Gentile of Ansonia and Nicholas A. Gentile Jr. and his wife Kathleen Gentile of Shelton, two brothers, Armando (Fanny) Facchini of Seymour and Louis Gige” (Pauline) Facchini of Ansonia, a son in law, John (Sally) Reischel of Oakland, NJ, a sister in law, Anita Facchini of FL, six cherished grandchildren, Jonathan D. (Sarah) Gentile of Winsted, Sarah (Christopher) Ahearn, Nicholas A. (Renee) Gentile III, and Jeffrey B. Gentile all of Ansonia, and Mark J. Reischel and Sean Reischel of Oakland, NJ, four great-grandchildren, Brighton and Weston Ahearn and Carolina and James Gentile. She was predeceased by a daughter, Geraldine M. Reischel and a brother, Reno F. Facchini. 

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday October 26, 2010, at 9:00 am (Please meet directly) at the Holy Rosary Church, Father Salemi Drive, in Ansonia, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
