Sandra Bowers, 80 years old, a longstanding resident of Ansonia, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 26, 2017.
She was born Feb. 19, 1937 in Chicago, IL., daughter of the late Arthur & Alma Malwitz Buswell.
She worked as a deli clerk for Stop & Shop for 30 years and was a member of The Christ Episcopal Church in Ansonia. She was also member of The Episcopal Church Women and cherished the time she spent with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, George (Diane) Hokanson of Naugatuck, David (Sheri) Hokanson of Brooksville, FL., three daughters, Diana (Kevin) Dumas of Roxbury, Margie (David) Grose of Seymour, Penny (Mark) Danielecki of Palm Harbor, FL., sister Diana Sue Buswell of Derby, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Funeral services will be held Feb. 4 at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
