Esther H. “Sparky” Zoppino, age 65, of Seymour, entered into peaceful rest June 25, 2013 at her home; she was the beloved wife of the late Donald Zoppino.
Mrs. Zoppino was born October 23, 1947 in Derby, daughter of the late Edward and Esther (Fitzpatrick) McCarthy.
She was retired from the Branson Co., Danbury; Esther attended Trinity Episcopal Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Valley General Store.
She leaves her loving family including daughters, Roxanne (Brian, Sr.) Stevens of Seymour, and Tammy (J. Wayne) Ribas of Beacon Falls, her brothers, Edward “Butch” McCarthy of Franklin, MA, and Gordon McCarthy of Naugatuck, her sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Ogden of Shelton and Sandra Wells in FLA., a sister-in-law, Geri Lacerenza of Stamford, her grandchildren, Meghan (Robert) Glass, Joseph Ribas, Brian and Ashley Stevens, all of Seymour, and was anticipating the birth of her first great-grandchild this winter.
All services are private. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 w. Church St., Seymour is entrusted with the arrangements.
