Esther M. Resnik, 91, of Branford passed away on November 18, 2013 at Connecticut Hospice surrounded by family. She was born in Shelton, CT. Her parents, Alexander and Veronica Husti had emigrated from Hungary.
Esther was the 9th of 12 children and is survived by two sisters, Julia Shegda of TX, and Irene Lucuk of Naugatuck. She was the wife of the late Burton Resnik. She was predeceased by a son, Paul Nichols of Candor, NY and is survived by a son, Bruce Nichols of Shelton, CT and daughter Dale Robertson (Allan) of Delta, British Columbia; also four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was step-mother to Betsy Brochin of Woodbridge and Topsy Siderowf of Westport.
Esther was a beloved and gracious friend to many. She was an avid golfer, playing into her eighties. She will be remembered by family and friends for always being there for others and for her grace, dignity, and generosity.
