Esther Passaretti, age 100, of Derby, entered into eternal rest on Saturday May 21, 2016 at Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes. She was the devoted wife of the late Salvatore Passaretti.
Mrs. Passaretti was born in Derby on August 14,1915, daughter of the late Carlo and Rose (Colonese) Iacomacci and was a lifelong Derby resident.
Esther was employed at the former Shop and Save Market in the bakery department for many years before her retirement.
She was the beloved mother of Carl Passaretti and his wife Barbara, mother-in-law of Joanne Passaretti, the loving sister of Rita Sadick and her husband Edward, cherished grandmother of Salvatore Passaretti, Patrice Marsh, and Jennifer Rumbin and the adoring great grandmother of Richard March and Ashley Cuomo, Celia and Marco Rumbin. Esther was predeceased by her son Amedeo Passaretti, her brother’s Dominic and Carl Iacomacci, and her sister’s Alba Beam and Theresa Clark.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:15 pm for her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm in St. Mary Church, Derby. Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
