Eula Lowe

Mrs. Eula Eleanor (Collins) Lowe, 76, beloved wife of Rex Lowe, Jr. of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on March 11, 2014 at Griffin Hospital, Derby.

Mrs. Lowe was born on June 9, 1937 in Pike County, KY and was the daughter of the late George M. and Kelcie M. (Charles) Collins. She was educated in the Pike County School system. She was a nurse’s aide at United Methodist Homes in Shelton for many years before her retirement in 2009. Mrs. Lowe was an avid gardener, loved to read and was known as a master for her southern cuisine.

In addition to her devoted husband of 57 years, she leaves her four children, Sheila Hayden (David Kotos) of Seymour, Anita (Larry) Haversat of Naugatuck, Rex Michael (Jannine) Lowe of Naugatuck, and Lisa (Andrew) Gaw of Bethany and five grandchildren, Ryan M. Lowe of Prospect, Chantel M. Lowe of Waterbury, Michael S., and Cheyenne E. Lowe both of Naugatuck, Ian A. Gaw of Bethany. She also leaves her siblings, Harold Collins of San Antonio, TX, Beatrice Newsom of Virgie, KY, Helen Moore of Godfrey, IL and Mildred Nichols, Pikeville, KY and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved nephew, Randall M. May and five half siblings.

A Service will be held on Saturday, Mar. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Seymour Congregational Church, Seymour. Family and Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
