Eunice B. Sabatini, age 83, peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday afternoon, October 17, 2022, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of sixty-two years to the late Edward Sabatini.
Eunice was born in Bridgeport on June 12, 1939, daughter of the late Sergeant Hubert K. Bunnell, United States Army, and Anne L. Fritz Bunnell. A resident of Ansonia since 1977, she was employed as a legal secretary for many years, until her retirement. Eunice had fond memories of family dinners each Sunday with her aunts, uncles and cousins and kept the tradition with her own family. She and her husband looked forward to the many neighborhood parties in years past. Eunice enjoyed going out to eat, going to the movies, jigsaw puzzles, playing Words With Friends, Farmville, playing the guitar and most of all being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Lisa Bomba (Edward) of Seymour and Linda Tomasella (John) of Ansonia, a brother, Hubert K. Bunnell of Guilford, grandchildren, Stephanie Morisseau of Bluffton, SC, Samantha Morisseau, Emily, Lexy and Cloe Tomasella all of Ansonia, great-grandchildren, Lea and Eva Almazan and J.J. Altieri, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Anita Louise Waterhouse and her son-in-law, Robert L. Morisseau.
Per Eunice’s request, her funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements. To sign Eunice’s guestbook or share a memory, please visit www.spinelliricciutifh.com.
