Evelyn A. LaRovera, 85, of Ansonia, loving wife of John J. LaRovera Sr., for 55 years, entered into rest on Wednesday evening September 29, 2010, at the Griffin Hospital in Derby.
Mrs. LaRovera was born in Seymour on March 7, 1925, daughter of the late Richard and Anna Semmeler. A resident of Ansonia for her married life, she was active in the Assumption School for several years. Evelyn loved to cook, and was especially devoted to her family.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by a son, John J. LaRovera Jr. and his wife Maryann of Ansonia, a daughter, Suzanne L. LaRovera of Ansonia, two cherished grandchildren, John J. LaRovera III of Shelton and Anita M. LaRovera of Ansonia, a sister, Lorraine Holloway of Milford, special sisters in law, Viola LaRovera and Grace LaRovera of Ansonia, and several nieces and nephews, especially Debbie of PA.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday October 2, 2010, at 8:45am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Friday (TODAY) from 4 – 8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FH.
