Evelyn Antoinette Maloney Bobin, age 82, entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2018 at Hewitt Health & Rehab in Shelton.
She was the beloved wife of the late Steve Bobin Jr.
Evelyn was born in Derby on February 23, 1936, daughter of the late Thomas and Antoinette Wroblewski Maloney. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed as a secretary at Griffin Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1999.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Steve Bobin (Kimberly) of Wethersfield, loving daughters, Lisa Carlson (William) of Newington and Stacey Martin (Tony) of Santa Rosa, CA, a brother, Donald Maloney of Las Vegas, NV, a sister, Mary Irene DellaRocco of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Alexander and Michael Bobin and Maxwell Martin, lifelong best friend, Florence Mankulics of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Maloney and a sister, Theresa Evans.
Evelyn, known to many as “Honey”, loved her family and friends more than anything. Whether it was a holiday celebration (Christmas was her favorite, but St. Patrick’s Day was a close second), family vacation, or just sitting around the kitchen table, Mom relished those times together. Her family would like to thank the staff at Hewitt Health & Rehab. They treated Mom like family and with the respect and kindness that truly touched her and us.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
