Evelyn DeRosier

Evelyn (Delmonaco) Carrubba DeRosier, age 84, of Jupiter, Florida peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 11, 2015 in Warren, New Jersey with her son by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Carrubba. She lived in Jupiter, Florida for the last 29 years.
 
Mrs. DeRosier was born in Pettorano sul Gizio, province of L’Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy on October 27, 1932, the only daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Almonte Delmonaco. She came to the United States on March 2, 1939, and resided in Ansonia for many years. Later, she lived in West Haven, Guilford and in Florida, before spending the last few months near her son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren she adored. She worked for Southern New England Telephone for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor in the Yellow Pages Advertising Division. Evelyn enjoyed traveling and was a terrific ballroom and Latin dancer. 
 
She is survived by a loving and devoted son, Harry J. Carr and his wife Jennifer of Basking Ridge, NJ, three cherished grandchildren, Ashton Marietta, Harrison James and John Wyatt, a caring brother, Anthony Delmonaco and his wife Tina of Ansonia, sisters in law, Doris Klimeric of Jupiter, FL and Patricia Carrubba of Oxford, as well as several nieces and nephews. 
 
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday, June 17, her funeral will commence at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. The family requests that any flowers be all white as we celebrate her life.
