Faith M. Landona, age 81, of Shelton, entered into her eternal rest on Monday, November 12, 2012, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late George C. Landona, Sr.
Mrs. Landona was born in Shelton on August 4, 1931 daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Melillo) Marino and was a lifelong Shelton resident. She started her career in the offices of the FBI in New Haven, where she was employed for 5 years. Faith went on to a 36 year career as the Executive Secretary to the office of the Superintendent of Schools for the Shelton Board of Education. She was a member of the Society of the FBI Alumni, Inc.
She is the devoted mother of Jean Landona, a special angel that was always by her side, Faith Wajdowicz and her husband James and George Christopher Landona, Jr. and his wife Maria; loving grandmother of Erica Laton; loving great-grandmama to Evalisse. She is also survived by a devoted nephew Ernest Marino and several other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her four brothers Paul, Joseph, Angelo and Frederick Marino.
Friends may greet her family on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Friday, friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church 424 Coram Ave Shelton. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
