Faith Sauer age 93, wife of the late Frederick Sauer Sr. and former longtime Ansonia resident currently of Snowcamp, North Carolina, passed from this life on Aug. 24.
She was born May 22, 1927 in Ansonia, the daughter of the late Louis and Edith May Stackpole Cook. Faith married Fred on March 7, 1946; She was a member of the former First Baptist Church in Ansonia.
Faith was predeceased by her son Daniel L. Sauer, as well as by her four sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her son Frederick Sauer Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, daughter-in-law Paula Sauer Labrecque, (with whom she resided) eight grandchildren and step grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and step great grandchildren as well as several nieces & nephews.
Faith loved life and enjoyed her time here. She will be greatly missed. Services of remembrance will be held privately by the family. She will be buried in the family plot in Pine Grove Cemetery. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
