Fern Miller Seccombe, age 96, wife of the late Donald A. Seccombe Sr. and resident of Ansonia, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at home on July 22. She was born April 25, 1926 in Ansonia, daughter of the late John H. & Minnie Ireland Miller. She with her husband Donald were the owners and proprietors of Seccombe Cleaners.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ansonia. She leaves her daughters Alta S. Glover, (Gerald) son Arthur Seccombe, Lynn Kieley, (Michael) Linda Heil, & daughter-in-law Marilyn Seccombe, sister-in-law Laura (Ed) Nancy & Jane Seccombe, and grandchildren Michael Kiely, Courtney Beas, Timothy S. Kieley, Heather Sawyer, Sarah Pettitt, Alicia Seccombe and Brendan & Jason Feitelberg, as well as 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Donald Seccombe Jr., sisters Dorothy Bartolotta, Helen Craig, Jean Vroom and brothers John & Arthur Miller.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 26th (tomorrow) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
