Florence M. Halmose, 82, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Friday in St. Vincent Hospital. She is the wife of the late Joseph Halmose.
Born in Bridgeport on Oct. 31, 1933, daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Sullivan. She was a graduate of St. Patrick Grammar School, Central High School and St. Vincent College of Nursing, was a nurse at St. Vincent Hospital and a communicant of the Church of the Assumption.
Survivors are sons Thomas (Kim) Halmose and family, Joseph and Timothy of Ansonia, John (Christine) Halmose and family Mary Kate and Justin of Newtown, brother Robert (Dorothy) Sullivan of Hyde Park, NY, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N. Cliff St., Ansonia. On Friday her funeral will leave at 9 a.m. to the Church of the Assumption for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Assumption School in care of the funeral home.
