Frances Brenda Gneatak, age 86, of Derby entered into rest on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on April 22, 1939, daughter of the late Anthony and Lillian (Erico) Gneatak. Frances was an Ansonia resident for over 45 years before moving to Derby two years ago. She was a bookkeeper for many years. Later, she was employed at Equitable Insurance until her retirement. Frances was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church. She loved babies and animals, especially dogs. She also enjoyed refinishing and repairing old furniture, as well as collecting and polishing stones. Most of all, Frances cherished spending time with her friends and family.
She is the beloved Aunt of Michael (Pamela) Kichar, Steve (Cindy) Kichar, Troy Kichar and Danny (Carolyn) Kichar, Great Aunt of Kala (Kyle), Anthony, Rachel, Danny, Garrett (Emily), Anna and Shayne Kichar and Great Great Aunt of Louis and Sonny. Frances was predeceased by her sister Anna Mary Kichar.
Friends are invited to her graveside service on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby has been entrusted with her arrangements.
