Frances Gumbulevich Barsevich, widow of John Barsevich and resident of Ansonia, died Dec. 10.
She was born Jan. 30, 1935 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Peter & Nellie Statkevich Gumbulevich.
She graduated from Ansonia High School, Class of 1952. She was a retired employee of G.E. Corp. in Fairfield and had worked at Farrel Corp. as well as a legal secretary. Frances was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church and a member and Past President of the Knight’s of Lithuania, Council 135.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Janice Bielawa (Michael) of Woodbury; her step grandson Justin Bielawa of Stratford; her sister Ruth Tyson (Jack) of Ansonia and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John and brother Peter Gumbulevich Jr.
Friends may call on Friday at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The funeral will then leave for church with A Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
