Frances Lockwood

Frances Lockwood, age 82, a longtime resident of Seymour, entered into rest on Friday April 3, 2020 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehab Facility.

She was born in Norwalk on Nov. 30, 1937, daughter of the late Edwin and Eliza (Dakin) Lockwood.

Fran was involved in the restaurant business during her entire career. She owned and operated the Oasis Restaurant and Frankie’s & Johnny’s Restaurant. She then became a bartender for many years at Villa Bianca, Seymour until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah LaVallee, three Grandchildren Jason Reopelle, Antoinette Gdovin and Dwayne Anderson, nine great grandchildren, Robbie, Kyler, Michael, Roman, Joey, Dwayne Jr, Aubrey, Gary and Grace, one great great grandchild Eiley, and her sister Mildred O’Brien. She was predeceased by her two sons Mark and Terrance LaVallee, one brother Bill Lockwood and two sisters Grace and Josie Lockwood.

Fran’s Family would like to thank Lord Chamberlain for their compassionate care of Grandma Fran.

A public graveside memorial service will be held in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, 212 New Haven Ave. Derby at a date to be announced. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton are entrusted with the arrangements.
