Frances Uliasz, age 87, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She is the devoted wife of Alexander Uliasz. Frances was born in Long Pond, ME on June 28, 1926, daughter of the late George and Amanda (Paradise) Butler, and came to live in Shelton in 1965.
She and her husband were charter members of St. Lawrence Church in Huntington. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Frances loved caring for her family.
She is the beloved mother of Mark Uliasz, Gregory Uliasz and his wife Lori, and Alexis Uliasz. She also leaves three cherished grandchildren, Meghan, Zachary, and Gregory, two sisters, Theresa Perry and Mildred LaGasse, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Alvina Marchetti, Evelyn Landry, and Irene Sirois.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave, Shelton. Burial will follow at Lawn Cemetery in Shelton.
