Francis E. Marganski, age 88, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, August 25, 2019, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Lillian Remus Marganski.
Mr. Marganski was born in Derby on Nov. 11, 1930, son of the late Frank and Ann Kryvonis Marganski. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, he was employed as a machinist at the Farrel Corporation in Ansonia for forty-two years, until his retirement in 1992. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Farrel Old Timers Club and American Legion John H. Collins Post 24 in Derby.
In addition to his wife Lillian, he leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Kristin Fraser and her husband Gerard of Seymour, cherished grandchildren, Christopher Fraser and Samantha Fraser of Seymour, Michael Fraser of Ansonia and Austin Fraser of North Haven as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Marganski.
Visiting hours will take place on Wednesday August 28, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, his funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
