Frank Henry Guillemette Jr., age 85, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on November 10, 2023, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Carol (Oros) Guillemette.
He was born on January 10, 1938, in Bridgeport, son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Guillemette. Frank proudly served his country with the United States Army before working as a Foreman for Sikorsky Aircraft . He was a resident of Shelton for over 35 years and was an avid soft ball and golf player. Frank was a member of the Sikorsky Travel Softball Team and he was inducted into the CT Slowpitch Softball Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed playing Bingo at the Casino.
Frank is survived by his cherished daughter, Debbie Sanford and her husband Robert, granddaughter, Caitlin Brown and her husband Derek, great grandson, Robbie Brown, dogs Maddie and Tia, sister, Elaine Steinmetz and her husband Bill, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Danny Guillemette, sister Eileen Barna, and brother in law, Peter Barna.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Friday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. Burial will follow at Huntington Lawn Cemetery in Shelton.
