Frank J. Kudej, age 88, of Derby entered into rest on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Griffin Hospital. He was the devoted husband of 48 years to Alma (Lawson) Kudej.
Frank was born in Derby on March 16, 1935 son of the late John and Helen (Gola) Kudej. He was employed at Chromium Process Company for many years until his retirement. Frank worked for William Korolyshun Excavating and Paving Company and St. Michael Cemetery. He also worked at the United Cigar Store. Frank was a member of the Polish Falcons. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and especially loved dogs.
Frank was the beloved father of Robert Lupone and his wife Kathleen and Gary Lupone and his wife Jacqueline and brother of Helen Knapp and her husband George of Seymour. He was also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by five brothers, Louis, Walter, Chester, Edward and Benjamin and his late wife Pat Kudej and four sisters, Alfreda Levinsky and her late husband Stanley, Gladys Kwiatkowski, Ann Kowalczyk and her late husband Mitch and Francis Miklinevich and her late husband Al.
Friends may call on Saturday, April 15th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the parlor. His burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery.
