Frank S. Fancher

Frank S. Fancher, age 70, entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was the beloved wife of Carolyn Cirillo Fancher. 

Frank was born in New Haven on October 14, 1951, son of the late Frank and Lucy Fiengo Fancher. He was employed as a senior composite worker in the blade shop of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for many years until his retirement. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Frank’s hobbies included fishing, bowling and billiards along with being an avid golfer. He loved cooking and was a wonderful singer. 

In addition to his wife Carolyn, Frank leaves to cherish his memory, a son, John P. DiVito (Lindsey Schoenberg) of West Hartford, brothers, Anthony Raiano (Angie) of Simsbury and Ronald Raiano of Hamden, sisters, Rosemarie Mullen (Tad) of Florida, Jeannie Sarno of East Haven and Joannie Neal of Florida, grandson, Drew DiVito of West Hartford, sister-in-law, Mary Debish of Oxford, dear family friend, Barbara Dahm of Seymour along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Dominick Raiano and a sister, Lucille Robillard. 

Relatives and friends may greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday March 26, 2022, from 9:00 – 10:30am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62, Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 11:00 am all are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia. United States Navy military honors will be accorded following Mass.
