Franklin Lewis Sr.

Franklin Noonie” Lewis, Sr. age 69, devoted husband of 31 years to Sarah (Burchell) Lewis of Oxford and formerly of Seymour, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 17, 2013 at his home.

He was born on April 4, 1944 in Derby and was the son of the late Sackies and Lena (George) Lewis Bridiskas.

He retired from the Kerite Co., Seymour, and after worked as a Longshoreman in New Haven. Noonie was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics. He enjoyed spending time with his family, trips to the casino and John’s Deli.

In addition to his wife, he leaves 4 sons, Frank, Jr. of Seymour, Michael(Amanda) of Beacon Falls, Joseph of Oxford and Jeffrey Lewis serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Missouri, and a daughter, Jessica Lewis of Oxford, a granddaughter, Sophia Lewis, two brothers, James Lewis of Derby and Robert (Joan) Lewis of Seymour and a sister, Madeline Tootsie” Harrigan of Beacon Falls, brother in law, Robert Konnik of Seymour and several nieces and nephews. His sister, Marion Konnik, brother in law, Carl Harrington, and sister in law, Joan Lewis, predeceased him.

Calling Hours are Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home 161 W. Church St., Seymour, the Funeral will directly follow at the funeral home at 7 p.m.
