Frederick E. “Fred” Ramsay, age 80 of Seymour, he entered into peaceful rest on November 12, 2020 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; he was the beloved husband of “the one love of his life”, the late Carol Marie (Johnson) Ramsay. Mr. Ramsey was born on June 7, 1940 in Winsted, son of the late Elmer and Esther Ramsey.
Fred was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford where he worked for many years as a Machine Operator. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy, and was a member of Emil Senger Post 10, American Legion. Fred was an avid automobile enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows.
Fred leaves his loving family including his sister-in-law, Lyn Ringsted and her husband Dennis of Terryville, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service in celebration of Fred’s life will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. There are no calling hours.
