Frederick S. Cisko, Jr., age 86, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday April 26, 2015 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center Bridgeport.
He is the devoted husband of 65 years to Angeles “Ann” (Fernandez) Cisko.
Mr. Cisko was born in Bridgeport on March 24, 1929 son of the late Frederick S. and Elizabeth H. (Shomsky) Cisko and was a Shelton resident for many years previously living in Newtown and Bridgeport.
He was a Captain with the Bridgeport Police department with over 35 years of service before his retirement.
After his retirement from the Police Department, he worked for 16 years with the US Marshall Service in the Bridgeport Court System. He received countless awards for his many accomplishments throughout his career and will always be remembered fondly by the people who knew him.
He was also a lifelong Mason and a lifetime member of the Pequonnock Yacht Club.
He is the beloved father of Janet Saloomey and Lisa Cisko Lambert, father-in-law of Arthur Lambert, cherished grandfather of Jessica Cisko Essenter and her husband Brian. He is survived by an adoring great granddaughter, two loving nieces Bonnie Mackie and Lauren Barber. He is predeceased by his sister-in-law Tadea Wargo and brother-in-law Warren Wargo.
Mr. Cisko’s cremation has been entrusted to the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton, CT 06484. His services will be private.
