Genevieve Ann Fatek Young

Genevieve Murph” Ann Fatek Young, age 89, of Ansonia, the beloved wife of the late James Lawrence Young, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Arden House, Hamden.

She was born in Seymour on February 15, 1926, beloved daughter to the late Anthony and Mary Lempek Fatek.

Murph was a communicant of St. Mary Church of Derby. She loved to play bingo, do puzzles and garden. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Murph will be sadly missed by all and will forever be in our hearts.

Her loving family includes her beloved sister Regina Beauregard of Seymour and several caring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her six brothers John, William, Frank, Anthony, Edward and Stanley Fatek and her six sisters Mary Jankowski, Stella Samojedny, Harriett Fatek, Felicia Casagrande, Theresa Cegelka and Annie Ptak. 

A Funeral Service in Celebration of Murph’s life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 9:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 212 Elizabeth Street, Derby. Interment in the family plot at Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, Derby will follow. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 8:30 am until the start of the service at 9:00 am.
