Genevieve H. Vincent, age 98, of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Gardner Heights in Shelton. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Vincent. Genevieve was born in Derby on June 27, 1926, daughter of the late Karol and Julia (Dobek) Stockmal, and lived most of her life in Shelton.
She dedicated her life to her family. She loved caring for her grandchildren and enjoyed reading, playing games on her tablet, knitting, gardening, and caring for her home.
She is the beloved mother of Robert Vincent, Joseph Vincent, and Patricia Notchick (Stephen), proud grandmother of Roxanne Wakeman (Mark) and Stephen Notchick, Jr., and leaves several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Stochmal, two sisters, Carol Arbona and Teresa McNamara, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several siblings.
Her funeral services were private.
The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
