Geoffrey G. Gamble

Dr. Geoffrey G. Gamble died after a brief illness in San Diego, CA at the age of 42. 

Geoffrey is survived by his father, George H. Gamble III of Shelton, CT, as well as his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of long-time friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Gamble. 

Geoffrey was born in Derby, CT, and attended Shelton High School. He was an active and dedicated parishioner at St. Margaret Mary’s in Shelton, CT and served as both an altar boy and Eucharistic minister. He graduated from Boston College with a degree in Computer Science in 1998 and continued on to earn his Masters in Computer Science and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computational Neuroscience from the University of California- San Diego. Upon completing his studies, Geoffrey went on to found Augmented Data, which worked to combine human and machine intelligence to address many of today’s business challenges. 

Geoffrey was an accomplished guitarist (and air guitarist) and had a love for beach volleyball. His wit and sense of humor were evident and adored by those who had the pleasure to know him. 

Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (http://www.jenkinskingfh.com) A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 26, with friends asked to go directly to St. Margaret Mary Church in Shelton. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Geoffrey’s life. Burial will be in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. All are invited to the reception to follow at Racebrook Country Club in Orange.
