George “General” Thomas, age 59, husband of Cathy Thomas and resident of Ansonia, passed away August 26, 2013.
He was born in Derby on Sept. 12,1953 to Lonnie and Eleanor Sanders Thomas.
He worked as a machinist for Farrel Corp in Ansonia.
He is survived by his children, Te’Jay and Sheila Thomas of New Hampshire, three grandchildren, sister Marilyn Wooden of Ansonia, brothers Lonnie and Kent of New Haven, Larry of Seymour, Clifford of Naugatuck and Alan of Orlando, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Clide and sister Eleanor “Betsy” Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. at The Bishop Williams Memorial Church (C.O.G.I.C.) in Ansonia.
Friends may call at church 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
