George W. DeTullio

George W. DeTullio, age 66, of Derby entered into rest on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

He was the devoted husband of 14 years to Maureen (McDougall) DeTullio. George was born in Derby on January 30, 1956, son of Mary (Salvetti) Piacenzo and the late William DeTullio and was a lifelong Derby resident. He was a Control Operator for NRG Devon Power Plant for many years until his retirement. George coached Derby High School Baseball and played softball in various men’s leagues. He also enjoyed fantasy baseball. George was active with Friends of Bill and helped many people over the years. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.

George was the beloved father of Kevin (Courtney) DeTullio, Colleen (Joseph) Orts, twins Mildred DeTullio and William DeTullio, step-father of Robert Milne, brother of, Ronald DeTullio, Jason DeTullio, Maria Pacelli and Monica DeTullio. He was the loving grandfather of Marcello DeTullio and Roman Orts and was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

On Monday, friends may call at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. His burial will be at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
