Gerald A. Hickman

Gerald Jerry” A. Hickman age 65, husband to Jean Popowski Hickman and resident of Southbury, passed away Sept. 23. 

He was born May 13, 1952 in Derby, son of the late Harold & Bernardine Benham Hickman. 

Jerry served with the CT. State Police for 23 years, the Beacon Falls P.D. and as a security officer at Federal Courthouses. He was an active member of The Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Oxford and served as a commander in the Royal Rangers, Outpost #136, and Security Color Guard Camp. He was also a member of The Eagle Hose Fire Company in Ansonia. 

In addition to his beloved wife Jean, he leaves to cherish his memory his two sons Philip Hickman of N.C. and Nicolas Hickman (Darcy) of CT., his daughter Alysha Menkis (Andrew) of MD., sister Dale McBride (Carl) of Mexico and nephews Christopher McBride (Marlene) of CA., and Timothy McBride of Mexico. 

Funeral services will be held on September 30th at First Assembly of God Church in Brookfield, CT. with public viewing hours from 9 am to 1130 am, followed by a service at 12 NOON. Burial will be private.
