Gerald Raymond Hadden

Gerald Raymond Hadden, age 88, beloved husband of Jean Sotek Hadden of Derby, entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2017 at the CT Hospice, Branford. 

Born in New Haven on February 3, 1929, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Harriet Runge Hadden. 

Mr. Hadden was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He attended the University of Bridgeport and the National College of Chiropractic where he earned a D.C. Doctorate Degree. He was a resident of Trumbull for 37 years, before moving to the valley area. He worked for the Heise-Dresser Co. in Newtown. A steadfast and devout Christian, he loved to read the Bible, pray for others and was a long time member of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. 

He is also survived by his devoted sons, Philip Hadden of Derby and Matthew Hadden and his wife, Kerri of FL; treasured grandchildren, Amanda and Timothy Hadden of Shelton; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Audrey Chapin and a brother, Stewart Hadden. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday Morning at 10:00 AM, prior to the service.
