Geraldine Ann “Geri” DiLisio

SHELTON: Geraldine Ann Geri” DiLisio, age 79, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 20, 2021, in the comfort of her home, with her daughter by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis R. Rocky” DiLisio Jr. 

Geri was born in Derby on May 30, 1942, daughter of the late Walter A. and Josephine Latka Krajza. A resident of Seymour for most of her life, she was a graduate of Seymour High School in 1960. She began her working career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired as the Human Resources Representative at Allied Signal (formerly Textron Lycoming) in Stratford until her retirement. Geri and Rocky were married October 30, 1965 and shared a marriage filled with friendship, humor and strength. They loved to go to New York City to the museums, Lincoln Center, Broadway plays, steakhouses and Eataly Marketplace. They took pleasure in traveling, especially to their beloved Italy. She also enjoyed quiet time at home reading and watching PBS Masterpiece series, with her daughter, Michelle. 

She is survived by a loving daughter, Michelle DiLisio of Shelton, brothers, Michael Micky” Krajza (Lisa) of Plymouth, CT and Stanley Skip” Krajza (Joyce) of Largo, FL, a sister, Denise Myrick (James) of Beaverton, OR, step-brother, Stanley Lesniewski (Barbara) of North Grosvenordale, CT, step-sisters, Barbara Bodie of Palm Harbor, FL and Jean Mitchell (Russell) of Boiling Springs, SC, granddaughter, Kristie Fortuna (Patrick) of Monroe, great-granddaughters, Averie and Brooklyn, longtime friend, Pat Carrubba of Oxford and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Bruzenak and an infant sister, Margaret Krajza. 

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 11:00 am, meeting directly, at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, 117 Mountain Road in Seymour.
