Geraldine Valente, 83, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 10, 2012, at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles W. Valente Jr.
Mrs. Valente was born in New Haven on February 22, 1929, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Pelusa Pugelise. She was employed as the head chef at Harvey Hubbell in Orange for several years until her retirement. Geri loved to cook for her family and enjoyed attending Mass.
She is survived by a son, Ricky D. Valente of Marina Del Ray, CA, a daughter, Paula Fink of Naugatuck, a brother, Michael Puglise and his wife Teresa of Hamden, a sister, Ann Casella of CA, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Charles W. Valente III.
Visiting hours for Geraldine will be held on Sunday October 14, 2012, from 2 – 4 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 4:00 pm, a funeral service and celebration of her life will be held with Deacon Richard Renker officiating.
