Gina Marie DiLalla, age 91, wife of the late Joseph DiLalla and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest December 9.
She was born September 29, 1919 in Abruzzi, Italy, daughter of the late Dominic & Dolorata DeCesare Sarracco.
She attended Ansonia High School and worked for Chappel Industries. Gina was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church and was a member of the Derby Senior Center. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Edith Behrle & her husband Horace of Ansonia, Dolores Greene & her husband Tom of Derby and Linda DiLalla of Ansonia, four grandchildren Jean Roslonowski, Patricia Behrle, Sean Greene & Jodi Greene and six great-grandchildren, Aron Roslonowski, Thomas Greene, Nicholas Greene, currently serving in Afghanistan, Ryan Benfield, Gina Greene & Joseph Massa.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her granddaughter Barbara Behrle and two brothers, Anthony & Alfred Sarracco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, with friends asked to go directly to Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia where the Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum, Derby. Friends may call on Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Ansonia Animal Shelter, 2 Elm St. Ansonia, Ct. 06401.
